Wake Up has quickly gained popularity in the Chinese market, with online sales exceeding 99% and a repurchase rate of over 15%. Its overall brand design, which aligns with the brand's tone, has led to increased interest from offline distributors, particularly in first-tier and second-tier cities.
The Wake Up project, initiated in March 2017 and completed in August 2017 in Taiwan, was driven by extensive research on the functional beverage market. The team discovered that consumers are increasingly interested in functional beverages that address health concerns such as hangover alleviation and detoxification. Wake Up taps into this demand by providing a scientific and professional hangover remedy beverage that is both effective and enjoyable.
Designing Wake Up came with its own set of challenges. The team utilized a distinctive analytical method of brand DNA to create a calligraphic Chinese character that represents the essence of Wake Up. This character, spread across the can body, combines with the white decorative font to create a visually striking fusion. The design cleverly captures the blurred state between being drunk and awake, serving as a constant reminder to wake up and seize the day.
Wake Up's exceptional design and functionality have not gone unnoticed. It was awarded the Bronze A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category in 2019. This prestigious accolade recognizes designs that exhibit creativity, resourcefulness, and a commitment to improving quality of life.
